PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the small-turn performance with a simple structure in a multi-axle vehicle having three or more axles, such as a 6-wheel drive vehicle and an 8-wheel vehicle. SOLUTION: A multi-axle vehicle makes a turn by using intermediate driving wheels 34L, R and 36L, R disposed one or more intermediate axles 24, 26 arranged between the front most axle 22 and the rear most axle 28. When making the turn, the vehicle controls a speed Vout of the driving wheels 34L, 36L at outer side of the turn becomes faster than a vehicle speed V<SB>0</SB>, and controls a speed Vin of the driving wheel 34R, 36R at inner side the turn become slower than the vehicle speed V<SB>0</SB>. The vehicle controls the speeds Vout, Vin of the outer and inner side intermediate driving wheels in response to the vehicle speed V<SB>0</SB>and a steering angleψof the steering wheels 32L, R and 34L, R so that the vehicle may make the turn with radii smaller than those when the vehicle makes the turn only by the steering wheels 32L, R and 34L, R. In making the turn, the vehicle uncouples the power transmission to the driving wheels 32L, R and 38L, R other than the intermediate driving wheels 34L, R and 36L, R to bring the driving wheels 32L, R and 38L, R into a free movement state.
