PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve unnecessary for any complicated working so as to linearly control the differential pressure generated between upstream and downstream sides of the solenoid valve. SOLUTION: In a boosting control valve 3, the magnitude of a gap G between a plunger 38 and a guide 32 is≥0.2 mm, and the ratio (do/ds) of the diameter do of an orifice 341a to the seat diameter ds is set to be≤0.9. By setting the magnitude of the gap G between the plunger 38 and the guide 32 to be≥0.2 mm, the change of the electromagnetic force to the stroke S of a valve element 331 can be reduced. Further, by setting the ratio (do/ds) of the diameter do of the orifice 341a to the seat diameter ds is set to be≤0.9, the change of the fluid force to the stroke S of the valve element 331 can be increased. Thus, the relationship between the electromagnetic force and the resistance force can be easily set to the relationship requested to linearly control the differential pressure generated between the upstream and downstream sides.
