PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of various operating devices around a driver's seat by arranging a button for manually canceling a shift locking device in a center console part and miniaturizing the center console part when a shifting device is arranged in the center console part. SOLUTION: In this transmission operating device of a vehicle, a center console part swollen below a center in a vehicle width direction of an instrument panel comprises a U-shaped console wall having an opening, and an indicator panel closing the opening on the driver's seat side. A shifting device 10 for switching a speed change step of an automatic transmission is arranged in a space surrounded by the console wall, and a shift lever 13 provided to the shifting device and the button for manually canceling the shift locking device are projected on the driver's seat side through holes formed on the indicator panel, respectively.
