PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly install an anchor by drilling a hole with a drill which, when it comes across an iron reinforcing rod in concrete, goes around the rod without braking it in post-installing the anchor in a reinforced concrete structure. SOLUTION: A flexible drill is presented which has a structure utilizing the flexibility of a coil spring, avoids an obstacle such as an iron reinforcing rod, does not break the rod and is capable of drilling a hole with a depth required for the anchor. The flexible anchor is properly fixed even in a curved anchor hole by combining flexible materials such as steel wires or carbon fibers with the anchor to be fixed using a resin or the like. The flexible anchor is provided with a measuring gauge allowing the visual confirmation of the length of the anchor even after installed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
