The invention relates to a seating and lying arrangement in particular designed for the passenger compartment of aircraft, which can be brought into a seating and a lying position. In the seating position, the arrangement comprises a seating surface (2) and a backrest (3). In the lying position the arrangement offers a lying surface (22). The arrangement is characterised in comprising a seating device (1) and a separate lying device (10) and that in the seating position the lying device (10) is arranged adjacent to the seating device (1) and in the lying position is arranged over the seating device (1). The inventive method permits switching the arrangement between the seating position and the lying position. As the seating device (1) and the lying device (10) are separate devices a better seating comfort and a better lying comfort are achieved. |
