A peripheral voltage generation device is provided to reduce a current used in a deep power down mode and a self refresh mode, by supplying a peripheral voltage of the same level as an external power supply voltage in a normal operation mode and generating a peripheral voltage lower than an external power supply voltage in a self refresh mode and generating a peripheral voltage as a ground voltage in a deep power down mode. A reference voltage generation part(110) generates a peripheral reference voltage of a level corresponding to a normal operation mode when an enable signal is enabled, and generates a peripheral reference voltage with lower level than the voltage level of the normal operation mode when a self refresh signal is enabled. A comparator(120) outputs a peripheral voltage control signal by comparing the peripheral reference voltage with a first peripheral voltage. A peripheral voltage control part(130) generates the first peripheral voltage by dropping a peripheral voltage having a power supply voltage level according to the peripheral voltage control signal when the self refresh signal is enabled.
