A portable information storage device and a system using the same are provided to store information having diverse forms/contents to one typical medium for DRM(Digital Rights Management) and enable a user to easily/conveniently use various contents by using the medium. The first interface module(132) receives content and authentication information for the contents. The second interface module(136) communicates with a player for playing the contents. A control module(134) transfers the received content/authentication information to the second interface module and makes the content/authentication information transferred to the player through the second interface module. A storing module(138) stores the content/authentication information received from the first interface module. The controller transfers the content/authentication information stored in the storing module to the player. The second interface module includes a wireless interface module for communicating with the player wirelessly. The authentication information includes DRM key information.
