<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL compound that is of high quantum efficiency and transparency by having a compound cathode, and is also excellent in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL device configured by laminating an anode layer, an organic EL compound layer containing a luminescent high molecular compound, and the cathode layer in this order, wherein the cathode layer contacts an electron injected layer where a metal is doped that contacts (i) the organic EL compound layer and also contacts an electron injected layer where the metal is doped, an electron injected layer further comprising a material injecting the transparent and nonmetal electron where the metal is doped is formed of a transparent material selected from a group comprising a material acting as a hole block layer, a material acting as an exciton block material, and a material acting as a composite block material of hole and exciton. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
