<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To succeed setting after upgrading without initializing the content set by a panel operation section by a user, in upgrading a control program for driving an image recording device. <P>SOLUTION: A ROM 73 (a first non-volatile storage device) stores a control program for driving a printing section 77 and a plurality of option data which can be selected with regard to various setting items. A non-volatile memory 76 (a second non-volatile storage advice) stores the setting value corresponding to the option selected by the user with regard to the various setting items input from a panel operation section 75. At a time of upgrading the control program, it is confirmed whether the setting value of the various setting items in the non-volatile memory 76 corresponds to the same option data before/after the upgrading. If the setting value does not correspond, the content of the non-volatile memory 76 is upgraded so that the current setting value is replaced with the setting value corresponding to the same option data after the upgrading. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
