PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regulator for the output voltage of engine driven generators wherein a stable alternating current cycle of output voltage is detected with accuracy and is fed back by effective voltage and thus the favorable effect of suppressing fluctuation in output voltage can be obtained even when the output waveform of a generator is disturbed by the influence of a load.
SOLUTION: The cycle of output voltage is represented by an engine revolution cycle. The engine revolution cycle is detected utilizing an ignition signal for an igniter. Instantaneous values of output voltage equivalent to one cycle of this engine revolution are added and squared to obtain data representative of output waveform. The square root of this data is computed as an effective value. The operation duty of a transistor Q1 provided in the output circuit of an excitation winding L2 that supplies a field current if is determined based on the difference between the effective value and a target voltage. The field current if is varied according to the difference between the effective value and the target voltage, and thus the output voltage is regulated according to a load.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
|
