<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic vapor discharge lamp or the like with as little degradation of a yielding rate as possible and capable of securing compactness. <P>SOLUTION: The metallic vapor discharge lamp is provided with an inner tube 14 as an airtight vessel of a cylindrical shape equipped with a pinch sealing part 50 at one end part and with an arc tube housed inside, an outer tube as a protecting vessel of a cylindrical shape with one end blocked and the other end open covered on the above airtight vessel, and a base 18 supporting the inner tube 14 by the pinch sealing part 50 and supporting the outer tube at the open end. The pinch sealing part 50 is provided with a plate part 74 with nearly an equal thickness and a swollen part 76 extended from the plate part 74 in its width direction with a thickness larger than the plate part 74, and the base 18 is provided with a first and a second support parts 66, 68 arranged in opposition at an interval D3 smaller than a thickness D2 of the swollen part 76, while the inner tube 14 is supported by the plate part 74 fitted in between the both support parts 66, 68. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
