<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a routing device which is capable of preventing transfer delay of fixed rate communication even if burst communication occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A cache memory of the routing device is divided into a region for registering an entry of fixed rate communication and a region for registering an entry of communication other than the fixed rate communication. It is determined whether input data are for fixed rate communication or not and based on a result of the determination, the regions are updated, separately. Thus, even if burst communication occurs, no entry in the region for the fixed rate communication is deleted, and data of the fixed rate communication can be stably transferred fast. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
