PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric apparatus having a safety device to prevent electric leak or electric shock and reducing power consumption during standby. SOLUTION: The electric apparatus is provided with a control means 13 to control a high frequency generator 12, an electric path 9a to supply power supply to the high frequency generator 12 and the control means 13, a zero-phase sequence current transformer 18 to detect unbalance current flowing in the electric path 9a, a leak judgement means 19 which judges existence of electric leak by a signal from the zero-phase sequence current transformer 18, a relay 10 which opens and closes the electric path, and a switch 20 connected in parallel to the relay 10. The control means 13 starts operation as the switch 20 is closed and power supply is started while the relay 10 is opened and in standby status, and when the leak judgement means 19 judges that leakage exists, opens the relay 10 and, current flow to the control means 13 and the load is cut off, thereby reducing the danger of electric leak or electric shock and power consumption during standby is reduced.
