PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components of an apparatus and reduce the overall size of the apparatus, by enabling the locking and the automatic opening of a lid with a single spring. SOLUTION: A digital camera is equipped with a cabinet 1 and a lid 3 which places itself on the cabinet 1, in such a manner that it moves up and down in a rotational manner. The lid 3 can move on the cabinet 1 from front to rear. A slide 2 is provided to the lid 3, and a wall piece 4, facing the slide 2 and having a guide face 40 for pushing the slide in the direction that the lid 3, is opened toward the edge part is provided on cabinet 1. The slide 2 is energized by a spring toward the wall piece 4. The slide 2 is provided, in such a manner that it moves among a first position where it abuts against the rear surface of the wall piece 4 at the retreated position in which the lid 3 is closed, and restricts the advance of the lid 3, a second position where it moves from the first position resisting the energization by the spring, abutting against the wall piece 4 no longer, and allows the lid 3 to advance, and a third position in which it abuts against the guide face 40 of the wall piece 4 by the spring energization in the position at which the lid 3 has advanced, and energizes the lid 3 in the direction of its opening.
