<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine capable of reducing amount of particulates such as nanoparticulate. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control system for the internal combustion engine is provided with a means for detecting an operation condition of the internal combustion engine 1, a means for adjusting fuel injection pressure of an injector 9 for jetting fuel into a cylinder 2, and a means for reducing fuel injection pressure when the operation condition detection means detects that an operation condition of the internal combustion engine is a low load operation condition such as an idle condition and a vehicle deceleration condition to suppress generation of nanoparticulates when an operation condition of the internal combustion engine is the low load operation condition. The means for adjusting injection pressure raises fuel injection pressure when the operation condition detection means detects that an operation condition of the internal combustion engine is an operation condition at middle load or more such as a steady running condition. Consequently, it is possible to suppress generation of the whole particulate including nanoparticulate when an operation condition of the internal combustion engine is an operation condition at middle load or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
