PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element which exhibits superior emission luminance, low drive voltage, reduced voltage increase and fewer dark spots found during the constant current driving operation, and high stability over time under high temperature and high humidity conditions, as well as an indicating device and a lighting device using the organic EL element. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence element has an electrode and at least one or more organic layers on a substrate. At least one of the organic layers is a light emitting layer containing the dopant and host compounds, at least one of the organic layers is an electron transport layer containing the electron transport materials and donor-based compounds, and at least one of the organic layers has a film density of 1.10 to 1.25 g/cm<SP>3</SP>.
