<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric transducer composed by surely forming a nano-sized wire, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of carbon nanotubes 40 oriented vertically to the surface of a substrate 50 are formed after preparing the substrate 50. A plurality of the carbon nanotubes 40 are fixed with a resin member 20 so as to expose the ends 41 on the side opposite to the side joined to the substrate 50 in both ends of a plurality of the carbon nanotubes 40. The substrate 50 is removed from the resin member 20. The ends 41 on the side opposite to the side joined to the substrate 50 in both ends 41, 42 of a plurality of the carbon nanotubes 40 are respectively opened. A nano-wire 10 is formed by filling a thermoelectric conversion material into the inside of each of a plurality of the carbon nanotubes 40. Then, electrodes 31, 32 are respectively formed to the faces where both ends 41, 42 of the nano-wire 10 are exposed from the resin member 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
