<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dew condensation due to water vapor produced by thermally fixing a sheet without causing cost rise or the upsizing of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Whether a fixing device 106 and its peripheral part are in a condition that the dew condensation is easily caused is detected (for example, the temperature of the fixing device 106 is detected (S301)).
