PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional configuration wherein a moving picture photographing mode is switched into a still picture photographing mode by the operation of a mode changeover switch by a user that requires much time for mode changeover. SOLUTION: A switch for starting imaging recording respectively changes switch operations at still picture photographing and moving picture photographing and detecting the depression of a second stage switch at the moving picture photographing shifts a present operation to a predetermined prescribed operation.
