PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier capable of maximally exhibiting humidifying capacity by reducing driving motive power. SOLUTION: This humidifier is composed of a water tank 22 storing water supplied from a water tank and a rotary humidifying filter 23 rotatably pivoted in the water tank 22. The rotary humidifying filter 23 is constituted by laminating a plurality of humidifying plates 25 in a state of mutually holding a predetermined interval. A plurality of through-holes 33, 33, etc. are formed in the respective humidifying plates 25, and an air flow is made to flow through from both obverse-reverse surfaces of the humidifying plates 25 via the plurality of through-holes 33, 33, etc. formed in the humidifying plates 25 constituting the rotary humidifying plate 23 in a process of passing indoor air blown off from a fan 2 through the rotary humidifying filter 23, and the humidifying capacity can be maximally exhibited by reducing the motive power for driving the rotary humidifying filter 23.
