PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate gas with a high calorific value in a gasification facility using dried sewage sludge as a raw material. SOLUTION: In a fixed-bed gasification furnace 1, after the raw material is introduced into the furnace, an oxygen-containing gas is fed to the furnace, and organic matters in the raw material is gasified. Here, the raw material is the dried sewage sludge 10.
