PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the receiver of which the program information displayed on a screen can be recognized easily. SOLUTION: By identifying a certain specific code, a character code, etc., in a received program information, a display using a specific character color, a specific character type and a specific background color is performed by the certain specific code, and the character code, etc. and a display is performed by adding a specific image. Through recognition of the currently broadcast program from the current time information, a display is performed, after performing a certain process to those programs; and a point that indicates the current time is displayed, in an area that displays a time zone with a width. By holding size 2 or larger more sizes of character fonts to be displayed, the character size to be displayed can be made small, and the amount of information in a screen can be made to increase.
