PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a die for forming a foam product model to be used in a disposable model casting process in order to form a cast product having target dimensions. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the die for forming the foam product model to be used in the disposable model casting process includes a step for determining the final three dimensional data on the shape of the foam product model; a step for inputting the determined final three dimensional data into the controller of an NC machine tool; and a step for cutting the cavity having the shape of the determined foam product model into a die base material by means of the NC machine tool. The final three dimensional data is determined based on the information obtained from the deformation of the cast product obtained by the computer simulation for the disposal model casting process using an imaginary foam product model or is determined by actually manufacturing the cast product by experimentally making the foam product model, and then by carrying out the disposal model casting process, and then by feeding-back the difference between the dimensions of the trial cast product and the target dimensions.
