PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach a cap member to the distal end of the heating part of a hair iron. SOLUTION: For the cap member 20 to be fitted to the distal end of the heating part 11 of the hair iron, the constitution that a projection piece 35 whose distal end is inclined to the rear to a fitting direction is projected from the periphery of the fitting member 21 of the cap member 20 to be fitted to the heating part 11 is adopted. In such a manner, since the projection piece projected from the fitting member 21 does not obstruct fitting since it is inclined to the rear, and is engaged with the inner wall of the cylindrical heating part 11 to prevent falling when the cap member 20 is to move in a direction opposite to the fitting direction so as to be detached after fitting. Thus, just by fitting the cap member 20 for which the projection piece 35 is projected from the periphery of the fitting member 21, the attachment of the cap member is completed and the cap member is easily attached.
