A gaming machine is provided to enable a player to play a floating display game with a continuous hope that he can acquire a high prize, and to improve enjoyment of the floating display game. The gaming machine includes: a picture display device having a symbol display region; an operation unit enabling a player to input operations including a start command for starting a game; and a processor for performing a game process for providing the game to the player by controlling so that the picture display device displays the game process. The game process includes a step of controlling the picture display device that performs a floating display for variably displaying plural symbols by a prescribed sequence in the symbol display region.
