System and method for assessing the safety of a technical system

The method involves examining safety relevance of detailed information and storing safety relevance data for the information based on functional units. The data is transferred to outgoing information and a technical system is examined regarding the safety based on the stored data to provide the information to the functional unit as detailed information based on the functional unit which does not process the information. An independent claim is also included for a system for examining safety of a technical system.
