摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an ice machine to improve heat exchange efficiency during a high temperature (1 deg.C or higher) by changing a cooler ice water flow rate and to provide a method of operating for the device. SOLUTION: An evaporator 1 wherein an internal part forms a double cylinder type, the outside of the double cylinder forms a cooling chamber 14 where a refrigerant flows through the outside of the double cylinder, and the inside forms a cooler 15 to produce slurried ice water, a condenser 2, and a compressor 3 are interconnected to form a refrigerating cycle. A heat storage tank 5 to store produced ice water is provided. The cooler 15 and the heat storage tank 5 are interconnected through a flow passage in which a pump 4 to control a flow rate is situated. In the so formed cooling device for ice making, a temperature detector 10 is situated in the flow passage and a control mechanism 11 is provided to control the number of pumps situated and the number of revolutions of the pump according to the detected temperature. Further, at a temperature region wherein the ice water temperature of the cooler is higher than an ice point, operation is effected at the maximum allowable flow rate of a flow rate of the pump. When temperature is reduced, operation is practicable by reducing a flow rate to a specified value.</p>
