Method, Data Processing Device and Computer Program Product for Authentication and Execution of a Maintenance Function

Authentication and execution method involves detecting availability of a file. Method also involves reading the file over the interface. Method also involves examination of the file whether it is generated by a pre-determined source. A program code, which is contained in the file, is implemented for calling a service function, if it is detected that the file was produced by the pre-determined source.
