Wheel with tension spokes

The wheel (1) has two spoke (6) set, one set of spokes located on a side of a free wheel and another set of spokes located on a side opposite to the free wheel. A rim (3) and the spokes are made of a non-metallic composite material. The rim exteriorly having a tire-receiving channel that defines a median plane, and interiorly having spoke-connecting zones that define the median plane for connecting the spokes. Two flanges are adapted for fastening the spokes, and are spaced apart from each other by a spacer, where one of the two flanges is closer to the median plane of the hub.
