A method and a system for providing information using a phone number is provided to enable a user to obtain the desired information like AD(ADvertisement) with a simple procedure for pushing the phone number in a mobile terminal, offer a user oriented information providing service by providing an interest database to each user, and offer the information at the time and in the way the user wants. A user terminal(210) calls the phone number corresponding to interest information of the user. A user information database(231) stores user information and interest data of the user. A server(230) sets up/changes relation between the user and the interest data in the user information database by responding to the call received from the user terminal. An SMSC(Short Message Service Center)(240) transmits an interest information message corresponding to the interest data to the user terminal by a request of the server. The server checks a CID(Caller ID) by responding to the call from the user terminal, and respectively matches the phone number of the user terminal and the information corresponding to the CID with the user and the interest data of the user. |
