A base for display units, for instance display units for food products

A base for display units (2) that can be made as a product of the paper-transformation industry including a box-like body with a lateral wall (3,4) that extends between a bottom part (5) and a top part (9). The base also includes a wall (6) on which rests a display unit (2) selectively mobile between:
-- a lowered position (Figure 1) in which the mobile wall (6) is situated in correspondence with said bottom part, and the base (1) is capable of acting as a container for a display unit (2), and
-- a raised position (Figure 4) in which the mobile wall (6) is situated in correspondence with the top part (9) of the base and is capable of supporting a display unit (2) in the exhibiting position.
