Crane lower body optimised for transport

The chassis has a base plate (2) designed for detachable mounting of a rotatable crane upper chassis. Several supporting rods (4) are rotatably supported at the base plate for adopting a transport position and an operating position. Supporting units necessary for crane operation are attached at the supporting rods. The base plate has an outer circumference that forms four rotatable hinges (3), where the respective supporting rods are rotatably supported at the hinges. An independent claim is also included for a variable crane comprising a crane lower chassis and a crane upper chassis.
