User relevant content is provided in response to a request from a telephone handset comprising an SMS message containing a keyword identifying requested content. The SMS message is received at an SMS platform associated with a content station and adapted to determine from the message both the keyword sent and the telephone number associated with the sender. A check is made as to whether the keyword concerned is present in a table of keywords stored in memory at the content station, each keyword in the table being associated with specific content stored as a database in memory at the content station, and each item of specific content in that database being associated with a geographic location. If the check establishes that the particular keyword is present in the table of keywords, the telephone network is interrogated for an approximate geographic location from which the SMS message was sent. Then, for at least a predetermined period of time, content comprising those items in the database with geographical relevance to the location determined by the interrogation is associated with a WDP Uniform Resource Locator (URL). A return SMS message is forwarded to the telephone number associated with the said sender identifying the URL or an effective link thereto. Thereafter, during the predetermined period of time, the user is enabled to view the content using a WDP browser associated with their telephone handset.
