A portable terminal and a data serial transmission method in the same are provided to decrease data connecting lines between components as increasing data processing rate, thereby miniaturizing the portable terminal and preventing interference or EMI(ElectroMagnetic Interference). A portable terminal comprises the followings: an image sensor(200) which generates raw data corresponding to a photographed subject and outputs the generated data in a serial transmission mode; and a MCP(Multimedia Control Processor)(210) which converts the raw data, inputted through the serial transmission mode from the image sensor(200), into a parallel bit arrangement and generates image data by using the raw data converted into the parallel bit arrangement.
