Assembly of a body-in-white of a motor vehicle and a rear floor

The floor has a lower part (12) with units for fixing to a front floor (22), and an upper part (14) with grooves to receive cross-members (18a, 18b) of a rear block (17b) in the body-in-white of a motor vehicle. A heel-board is dimensioned to fix to the front floor by overlapping with it over an overlapping range which is narrow in a station wagon type version of the vehicle and is broad in a four door saloon type version of the vehicle. The upper part has a hollow groove (26) to receive a passenger seat.
