A data recording method of an optical disk device is provided to be capable of recording title information and recording information in particular areas of an optical disk, and of reproducing the recorded information to rewrite the information if an error is generated, therefore the recording information and the title information are exactly recorded on the disk. If a recording request is received while an optical disk is loaded, external input data is set to a recording title, and is recorded on the disk(S200-S204). Recording information and information on the recording title are recorded in portions of particular areas of the disk(206). The recording information and the information on the recording title are reproduced to check whether an error is generated(S208,S210). If so, the recording information and the information on the recording title are recorded again in other parts of the particular areas of the disk(S212-S216).
