A hands-free system for a vehicle is provided to prevent generation of an error when conversation through a speaker phone of the hands-free system is impossible in case of receiving a phone call. A hands-free system for a vehicle includes a microphone(10), a first amplifying section(12), a mobile phone connecting section(38), a second amplifying section(16), a memory section(20), a DSP section(18), an audio amplifying section(22), a talking switch(26), a switch(30), a control section(24), a display lamp(28), a warning lamp(100), a speaker(32), and an earphone(34). The microphone converts a voice signal to an electrical signal. The first amplifying section amplifies a signal input through the microphone. The mobile phone connecting section is connected to an ear jack of the mobile phone to transmit and receive a talking signal. The second amplifying section amplifies the talking signal. The memory section stores pattern information of noise. The DSP section controls noise and output an audio signal. The audio amplifying section amplifies the audio signal. The talking switch is adapted to select a hands-free mode and an audio mode. The switch is adapted to switch an audio output signal of a car audio and an output signal of the audio amplifying section. The control section generates a user warning signal if the main sound level is 0. The display lamp displays the state of the control section. The warning lamp emits light if the user's warning signal is input. The speaker is adapted to output an audio signal selected by the switch. The earphone outputs the audio signal selected by the switch exclusively from the speaker.
