A mobile communication terminal having an RFID reader and a transceiving method thereof are provided to enable an RFID RF block to share an antenna of a GSM(Global System for Mobile communication) RF block, an antenna switch module and a high power amplifier, thereby minimizing chip area consumption and cost consumption. A mobile communication terminal having an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) reader comprises the followings: a baseband unit(100) for controlling communication of the mobile communication terminal; an RF block(200) for transceiving a signal with an external mobile communication terminal under the control of the baseband unit(100) for voice and data communication; and an RFID unit(300) for transceiving a signal of a high frequency band with an external RFID transponder through the RF block(200) under control of the baseband unit(100) for RFID communication. |
