Provided are a binder for a getter which is excellent in thin film characteristics, gas permeation and durability, a polyacetylene copolymer used in the binder, and a getter for packaging an electronic device containing the binder which adsorbs moisture or oxygen. The binder comprises a polyacetylene comprising at least one repeating unit represented by the formula 1, wherein R1 and R2 are independently H, a halogen atom, a C1-C20 linear alkyl group, a C3-C20 branched alkyl group, a C1-C20 alkoxy group, a C3-C12 cycloalkyl group, a silyl group (SiR3R4R5), a germyl group (GeR6R7R8), a C6-C14 aromatic group, or a C4-C16 hetero aromatic group; and R3 to R8 are independently H, a halogen atom, a C1-C20 linear alkyl group, a C3-C20 branched alkyl group, a C1-C20 alkoxy group, a C3-C12 cycloalkyl group, a C6-C14 aromatic group, or a C4-C16 hetero aromatic group.
