The present invention refers to a method for locating hydrocarbon leakages and/or flows in oil well pipes and/or packers. The purpose of the present invention is to prevent further environmental problems from occurring by locating possible leakages and/or flows in oil well pipes or packers using a method including a computer system for controlling valves and monitoring pressures.
