CUTTING HEAD FOR CUTTING A GLASS AND A CUTTING DEVICE FOR CUTTING A GLASS USING THE SAME

A glass cutting head in a glass cutting apparatus for PDP glass is provided to give a clear cut face to a glass preform leading to decrease in production cost, to cut the glass preform independent of curved face of the preform, and to simultaneously draw lines on the glass and cut the glass along the lines by fabricating a cutting blade supporter and an elastic part connected to the supporter. The glass cutting head(40) comprises: a body; a voice coil motor(43) that is mounted on the body and generates high frequency vibrating motion in one direction; a cutting blade supporter that is mounted on the body and driven by the voice coil motor; an electro-pneumatic cylinder(47) that is mounted on the body and regulates pressure applied to the cutting blade supporter; and a plurality of cutting blades(53) that are fixed to bottom side of the cutting blade supporter and cut top side of a mother glass. The cutting blades are arranged apart from one another on the bottom end of the supporter at constant intervals.
