An apparatus for supporting a body of an electric rail car is provided not to interfere a worker around a stair apparatus by folding the stair apparatus when being used and to allow the worker to conveniently climb the body of the electric rail car. In the apparatus for supporting a body of an electric rail car, a reception casing(130) receiving a lower support frame(110) and a support timber(120) is connected by four columns(140). A first reinforcing member(150) is mounted on the middle of the column. A caster is fixed to a lower end portion of the column. A side surface of an upper operation plate is welded to the lower end of the column. A center shaft hole and four guide rod mounting holes are formed in the upper operation plate. The lower end of a first guide bushing is mounted in the center shaft hole of the upper operation plate. The lower end of a central shaft penetrating a first guide bushing is fixed to the center of a lower fixing plate. A stopper unit is mounted to the upper end of the central shaft. The upper end of the guide bushing is caught by the stopper unit. A spring is inserted into the central shaft and is disposed between the upper operation plate and the lower fixing plate. The lower end of a guide rod is fixed to the lower fixing plate. A bracket is mounted on the lower surface of the lower fixing plate. The upper end of a steering knuckle is rotatively mounted on the bracket. The steering knuckle extends so as to be inclined downward. A wheel is mounted on the lower end of the steering knuckle. |
