An improved stepped impedance resonator is provided to reduce a length of a resonator by allowing characteristic impedance of a conductive disk, which is an open-stub, to have a smaller value than characteristic impedance of a conductive load, which is a short-stub. An improved stepped impedance resonator includes a conductor(210), and a cover(240). The conductor(210) has a conductive load(230) of a cylindrical shape having a uniform diameter, and a conductive disk(220) connected to the conductive load(230) directly and having a larger diameter than the conductive load(230). The cover(240) is separated from the conductive load(230) and the conductive disk(220), and has a side wall having an aperture between the conductive load(230) and the conductive disk(220). A part of the side wall of the cover(240) corresponding to the conductive disk(220) is closer than a part corresponding to the conductive load(230) from a center of the conductor(210) . |
