A support for a fishing rod is provided to support a fishing rod firmly against external force from any direction by using a pivoting wedge member of a pulling unit and a triangular support of a support unit. The support for a fishing rod includes a placement unit(100), an angle control unit(200), a pulling unit(300) and a support unit(400). The support unit(100) includes a placement rod(110). The placement rod(110) is coupled by a connection shaft(220) to the angle control unit(200) having a connection member(210) capable of adjusting angle optionally. The connection member(210) is coupled to the upper end of the pulling unit(300). The pulling unit(300) generates tensile load by a central shaft(310) comprising a pivoting wedge member fixed in a gap between rocks. The support unit(400) has a triangular support body(410) and a triangular support(420).
