The device has movable arms with an end separated from a plane relative to a front face of a flat screen e.g. plasma screen, when the arms are in an unfolded position. A part of the arms maintains the screen in a vertical position when the device rests on a horizontal plane (51). The arms lie in a space comprised between a plane parallel to the screen and tangents respectively at front and rear of a box (10) surrounding the screen, in a folded position. Two loudspeaker enclosures, having height equal to or less than the height of the box, are situated towards the rear of the box.
