A communication terminal having an emergency call termination function and an emergency call termination service method of the communication terminal are provided to allow a user to quickly recognize an occurrence of an emergency situation by changing a current channel of his/her DMB terminal to an emergency broadcast channel within the shortest time to thus obtain sufficient time for taking shelter to thus minimize damage. A controller of a user terminal receives a CID value through an antenna and a receiving unit(S100). A controller determines whether the CID value is an emergency call termination number(S101). When the CID value is an emergency call termination number, the controller determines whether a current output mode is in a vibration mode, in a lock mode or in an automatic response mode(S102). When the current output mode is in the vibration mode, in the lock mode or in the automatic response mode, the controller forcibly changes the output mode to a bell sound mode(S103). The controller checks whether there is a bell sound set as an emergency call termination bell sound in a storage unit(S104). When a bell sound has been set as an emergency call termination bell sound, the controller outputs the bell sound with a maximum output volume through a speaker(S105). The controller determines whether emergency situation alarm information received together with the CID value(S106) exists. If there is emergency situation alarm information, the controller controls all the elements to transfer the emergency situation alarm information to a user(S107).
