摘要 A functional alumina particle for polymer composite with improved weakness is provided to improve weakness and other mechanical performances of the composite by surface treating the alumina particle with acid having SO3H, PO3H2 or PO2H2 group. A composition including surface functional alumina particle is represented by a formula of A-R-Q wherein A is acid group selected from SO3H, PO3H2 and PO2H2, R includes organic bonding group selected from substituted and unsubstituted non-cyclic moiety, alicyclic moiety, cyclic and heterocyclic moiety; and Q includes reactive residual group selected from OH, NH2, vinyl, acryloxy, methacryloxy, NCO, CO2H, SH and epoxy group. Alumina particle includes boehmite, pseudo-boehmite or mixture thereof. R includes at least one C2-C25 residual group selected from substituted and unsubstituted alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkaryl and alkenyl group.
