A drum type washing machine is provided to increase the satisfaction feeling and reliability of the product and stably fix the door locking switch at the front of the casing by precluding the screw from being exposed to the outside of the cover member. A drum type washing machine comprises a casing(10) formed with a laundry inlet part at the front; a door rotatably mounted at the casing and combined with a hanging member at the rear; a door locking switch(50) placed at the casing; a combining member combined with the door locking switch at the casing; and a cover member(30) mounted at the casing to preclude the combining member from being exposed to the outside of the casing. The combining member is a screw(60). The cover member contains a center hole(38) formed at the center to freely pass through the hanging member of the door, and screw holes(36) formed at the rear to be combined with one end of the screw.
