A hybrid induction motor is provided to increase operation efficiency of the induction motor by removing unnecessary components, such as a shading coil, an auxiliary coil, and a condenser. A stator coil is wound around a stator. When a single-phase voltage is applied, a permanent magnet rotor rotates in a predetermined direction according to a phase of the voltage. A rotation shaft which is integrated with the rotor, rotates in a forward or reverse direction according to a rotation direction of the rotor. A rotation center of a reverse rotation preventing unit is arranged between the permanent magnet rotor and a bracket, so that the reverse rotation preventing unit selectively prevents a reverse rotation of the rotation shaft. The rotation center is arranged on a permanent magnet frame(132) of the permanent magnet rotor. A latch(162,163) is rotatably arranged between the rotor and a lower surface of the bracket.
