A convergence adjustment apparatus and method are provided to adjust convergence while a picture is viewed and simplify a user convergence adjustment process using algorithm for compensating for a central area using an adjustment data value of an outer adjustment point so that convergence quality can be improved. A convergence adjustment apparatus comprises a display unit(700) for displaying a picture and a convergence adjustment picture, a main control unit(200) for selecting a convergence adjustment point and controlling user convergence adjustment using a convergence adjustment point of an edge of the display picture when the picture is displayed on the screen center, a convergence control unit(304) for comparing a user adjustment value with a pre-stored convergence reference adjustment data according to a control signal of the main control unit(200) and performs a correction operation using a comparison result, and a video processing unit(600) for correcting a picture to be displayed according to a compensation signal of the convergence control unit(304).
